TYPES OF ACCOMMODATION
Single Occupancy:
This type of accommodation allows you to have your own private room with your bed and personal belongings. However, each villa may have multiple bedrooms, and you may therefore be sharing the residence with other participants.
Double Occupancy:
You will be sharing the same room with another participant, with separate beds for the duration of the stay. Bed size may vary and is beyond our control.
Dormitory
You will be sharing the same room with several participants. Each person will have a separate bed for the duration of the stay. Bed size may vary and is beyond our control.
For all three accommodation types
You will share the kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, and transportation with other participants for the duration of the stay. A washing machine will be available for one laundry load per week. Please be mindful of water usage.
FOOD
Trainings and retreats in Mont-Tremblant
Each midday, enjoy a carefully prepared vegetarian lunch box designed to provide energy and balance. Each evening, a generous vegetarian buffet prepared by a passionate caterer will be served.
We invite you to bring your own breakfast, snacks, and preferred beverages to personalize these moments according to your needs and preferences.
Trainings in St. Martin
Food is not included in your training. You will have access to fully equipped kitchens to prepare your meals. We cannot provide a specific food budget, as we are not aware of your personal tastes or dietary needs. You will be eating at the chalet throughout the week. You will have one day off, during which you are responsible for grocery shopping and meals at your discretion.
We recommend bringing nuts, organic protein bars, electrolytes, and any medications required for your personal needs. Please review the list of items to prepare available on our website.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG CONSUMPTION
The consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited on the premises and surrounding outdoor areas.
Trainings: If you are a smoker, try to stop smoking by the time you graduate. And if you didn't succeed, don't smoke in front of the studio. Our mission is not only to provide you with information about yoga, but to make you become gifted, talented, and well-rounded teachers who will have a career ahead of them.
WATER CONSUMPTION – ST. MARTIN
There is no natural freshwater source on the island; all water is fully transported to the villa. You will understand how precious this resource is.We have a total monthly allowance of 5,000 gallons,
which approximately covers:
• One shower per person per day
• One laundry load per person per week
• Pool filling
• Daily dishwasher usage
Any excess usage will be charged at USD $170 per additional 1,000 gallons. Excess consumption will be divided proportionally among participants and deducted from the security deposit if applicable.
HOUSEKEEPING
Cleanliness and organization must be maintained at all times in order to preserve a clean living and working environment and to respect the surrounding ecosystem.
INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS
If you have chosen to pay for the training through installments, please note that the total amount will be divided into five payments or fewer, so that the final payment is completed before the start of the purchased retreat or training.
The following applies only to students enrolled in the IDOLEM ACADÉMIE training
TRAINING MANUAL
Your training manual will be provided on the first day of the training. Any lost manual that requires replacement will be charged at a cost of $100 + applicable taxes.
BILINGUAL USE OF THE TRAINING
Our training manual includes chapters in both French and English, while verbal instruction will be conducted in French. Our mission is to train teachers capable of teaching in both languages.
We strongly recommend completing an initial full reading of your manual and beginning to read and integrate the suggested book list available on our website.
MONTHLY, WEEKLY, AND DAILY SCHEDULE
For intensive trainings, our days will begin around 6:00 a.m. and end around 9:00 p.m., with various Idolem instructors rotating throughout the day.
A standard schedule has been established, which may be adjusted at any time depending on the group’s learning pace, weather conditions, and other influencing factors.
ATTENDANCE AND TARDINESS
Attendance and punctuality are essential and will be part of your final evaluation for diploma eligibility. Please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time.
If you miss a day, you may either book a private session with the instructor at their current rate or make up the theoretical content during a weekend session at the alternate location, provided the curriculum matches.
DAYS OFF
Mont-Tremblant Trainings
• Friday: Departure around 3:00 p.m. Dormitory and chalet rooms must be vacated by 11:00 a.m.
• Saturday: A day dedicated to rest and time with family and/or friends.
• Sunday: Arrival starting at 4:30 p.m. Classes resume at 6:30 p.m.
St. Martin Trainings
One day off per week, on Saturday. Any travel or activities outside the schedule are at your own expense. This day is intended for rest to allow you to begin the following study week refreshed. Please pace yourself and prioritize rest.
ACTIVITIES DURING THE TRAINING
Mont-Tremblant Training
Mondays will be dedicated to paddleboard classes when the season allows. The lake is approximately 18 minutes away, and carpooling will be encouraged.
St. Martin Training
One full-day outing is organized once per week during the first three weeks, for a total of three outings. Transportation costs are included; meals are at your expense.
EXAMS
Exercises will be assigned on an ongoing basis and must be submitted by email by the specified deadlines. Late submissions will result in point deductions. Failure to submit will result in a grade of zero.
At the end of the training, a series of individual practical yoga exams as well as a theoretical exam will be conducted.
A minimum score of 75% on the theoretical portion and 85% on the practical portion is required to proceed with stage integration.
50-CLASS INTERNSHIP
The internship is mandatory only for those wishing to teach or obtain IDOLEM certification. It consists of 50 classes (not 50 hours) to be completed within six months following the end of the training.
This internship is unpaid and is intended to build teaching experience and confidence.
