Yoga Abs & core (traditional) is a practice focused on strengthening the deep muscles of the core, which are essential for stability, posture, and overall body balance. This class is based on the foundations of traditional yoga while placing particular emphasis on working the center of the body, also called the core, in order to develop a strong and lasting foundation.
Through controlled postures, slow transitions, and conscious breathing, Yoga Abs & Core engages the deep abdominal muscles, the back, and the stabilizing muscles. The work is progressive and precise, encouraging deep strengthening without sudden movements or impact.
This approach helps improve the quality of movement both in yoga practice and in everyday life.

This type of practice perfectly complements more fluid styles such as Yoga Vinyasa or relaxation-focused classes such as Yoga Yin (deep stretching).
Unlike traditional abdominal workouts, Yoga Abs & Core respects the body’s biomechanics and the holistic approach of yoga. It strengthens the core without excessive tension while also developing concentration, breathing, and control of postures.
It is an excellent complement to classes such as Yoga Hatha or Yoga Strength & balance.
It depends on the instructor. Sometimes it may be offered as a Flow Abs & Core class; other times it may take the form of more dynamic, fitness-style sequences that integrate yoga movements to optimize the work. The intensity ranges from moderate to intense depending on the level of practice and core strength. The goal of the muscular work is to engage and strengthen the transverse muscle as well as the entire deep abdominal core.
A basic foundation is recommended, especially for a sustained flow, but adaptations are offered at all times and you are encouraged to respect your own pace.
1 to 3 times per week in addition to other classes.
